I’ve been on the hunt for a nice pair of sunglasses before heading off to Australia later this year. I find sunglasses harder to choose than pretty much anything else I’d buy in a year, wrong shape, too tight, covers too much or too little of the face, just not the right style, wrong brand, too dark view of the world… there are so many variables. Love these though, from Mosley Tribes, from new Spring 2008 collection. The Hunt For New Shades

Alright, and so what?
What did you want to tell the world via this entry?

I like the sunglasses. I am an author here. If I like the sunglasses, and I want to say so, then I am at liberty to do so, and will do so. Your opinion is welcome, and I thank you for it.

Blah. What is it with big ugly bugeyed glasses?

Guess they’re just in fashion, Mel.

In addition to covering hungover eyes; eyes when one hasn’t had time to put on mascara; provide better protection from the sun; and give one more privacy if well known (as you’re harder recognise).

Little of the above, I admit, is relevant in my case, but might explain why such glasses are being worn by so many in Hollywood, if you’ll accept Hollywood as being indicatory of fashion/style today.

I invite you all over to my latest post http://www.lestyleblog.com/2007/09/01/the-coolest-of-band-t-shirts-2/ where I also shared my personal opinion, and I invite you to reject that opinion, as you’ve done to Melanie.

I like those but I wouldn’t be able to carry them off. It takes a certain sorta framed face to be able to do that. Not a lot of styles suit me. My fav are these ones..

I think they only cost me around 10 dollars a few years ago at one of the street stalls in Berkley San Fran and they are still going strong!
(it’s not a great pic, only took it this morn in the car on my banjaxed phone and I only ever post half myself lol) :)
