By an avarage Londoner? Londoners have a tendency not to pay attention. They/we are very selfish creatures.
The muslim community though does not like the idea and as much as I admire Sarah I can see their point as I, myself, was brought up in an uber-religious country.

I’m surprised she shows her face and uses her real name. She made herself to a target, I’m afraid.

I wouldn’t see her as in any immediate danger. Her art is all about ‘identity’ as she is a Muslim herself, and likes to take on the humorous approach. She has attracted a share of controversy alright but only from extremists thus far.

Sarah Maple is great, I friended her here http://www.myartspace.com/sarahmaple . They did two interviews with her as well. The only people she needs to worry about is stupid people. Sadly, there are many. :(

Tom, thanks for mentioning the myartspace interviews with Sarah. I just read both. The second seemed more interesting of the two.
